Timeline

1985

The company is formed, focusing its attention on a number of local contracts in & around the Bracknell area of Berkshire.

1995

Current owner and Managing Director – Andrew Rigg – joins the business.

1997

After a period of sustained growth, the business is registered as ‘MAR Services Ltd’.

1998

Accreditation to ISO 9001 is achieved, underlining the company’s commitment to delivering quality standards through excellence in its management processes.

1999

The organisation’s quality standards are further acknowledged as it joins the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) – a membership that it still proudly holds today.

2000

At the turn of the millennium, the company begins to concentrate its business on four key sectors: Education, Commercial, Leisure and Manufacturing.

2002

Further establishing itself as a quality service provider, the company continues to grow year on year, steadily expanding beyond its original geographical roots.

2006

As part of its strategic development, the business diversifies into Security Services for the first time.

2008

The business is awarded ‘Approved Contractor Status’ by the Security Industry Authority (SIA) and today is ranked within the top 5% of all suppliers within our category.

2009

  • The company’s commitment to the on-going safety of all employees and clients is officially recognised, with the successful award of accreditation to OHSAS 18001.
  • The organisation is first admitted to the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (previously the BIFM).

2010

  • The business continues to expand its range of soft service capabilities, as it adds Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance, Waste & Recycling and Grounds Maintenance divisions to its existing portfolio of client services.
  • The company’s early adoption of a greener and environmentally conscious approach to business is acknowledged through the receipt of ISO 14001 accreditation.

2011

As the company continues to expand its outlook, a central London office is opened for the first time.

2015

The organisation enjoys a period of strong organic growth as its client base expands throughout London and the South East Region.

2019

MAR Services fully acquires a new hard services provider, thereby enabling an integrated FM service to be offered to a wider and more diverse customer base.

Today

MAR Facilities Management is ideally positioned to build upon its strong legacy of service excellence and customer satisfaction, as it looks to write the next exciting chapter in its history.
